Emergency Operating Modes


An emergency luminaire in which the lamp is energized at all times. The lamp is ON when there is power present and is ON during a power failure.


                                                                                                                          EXAMPLES: Exit signs. Single lamp fluoro battens used in plant rooms to function as both general lighting and the emergency lighting.


An emergency luminaire in which the lamp(s) are only in operation during a power fail.


EXAMPLE: Single lamp: Lifelight emergency luminaires.
